Seekh Kebab Recipe

Here’s a delicious and easy recipe for Seekh Kabab:

Ingredients:

For the Kababs:

  • 500g minced meat (beef, lamb, or chicken)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1-2 tablespoons oil (for binding)
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

For Serving:

  • Sliced onions
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Lemon wedges
  • Mint or tamarind chutney

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mixture:
  • In a large bowl, combine minced meat, chopped onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, fresh coriander, lemon juice, and salt.
  • Mix thoroughly, and add a bit of oil if the mixture is too dry. You can use your hands for better binding.
  1. Shape the Kababs:
  • Take a handful of the mixture and mold it around the skewer, pressing it firmly so it holds its shape. Shape them into long, cylindrical forms.
  • Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  1. Preheat the Grill:
  • Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  1. Grill the Kababs:
  • Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are nicely browned and cooked through.
  1. Serve:
  • Serve hot with sliced onions, lemon wedges, and chutney.
